What's he saying about the parting of ways?
Amitabh Bachchan has been the face of IIFA (India International Film Awards) for more than 10 years, but the association has now come to an end. The split has happened because his services are 'not required' by IIFA, the star said.
Big B posted on his Twitter page this afternoon (January 17), "Not coming to Toronto IIFA .. IIFA says my services are not required .."
One of his fans responded to this by tweeting, "WAT? u not at IIFA?? wats iifa without u???where can i contact those IDIOTS(iifa organisers) please."
Big B retweeted that comment, and then posted, "Its not me .. its the organizers of IIFA that do not want me in Toronto.. SriLanka was the same .."
In 2010, the entire Bachchan clan did not attend the awards that were held in Sri lanka following protests by the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce related to the apparent ill-treatment of Tamils in the country.
The show then had Salman Khan leading the B'wood pack, as Big B wasn't there
